So, I was going to post a different tiara today but it's Christmas Eve and I didn't want anyone to miss it due to holiday madness because it's pretty spectacular! So I went with Plan B and I present to you the Beechwood Tiara. This is the only tiara I've found that is carved from wood and it was basically an advertisement for a furniture business.

The tiara is carved from a piece of beechwood and features a row of willow leaves along the bottom and birch leaves on the top. It was designed by Tim Gosling and David Linley (now the 2nd Earl of Snowdon) who owned and operated David Linley Furniture. The tiara is said to have been hand carved by David.

The tiara was given to David's (now-former) wife, Serena, and there are 2 photos of her wearing it. Since they have divorced, the tiara has not been seen and it's not known who currently owns it.

2 pictures of Serena, Lady Linley wearing the Beechwood Tiara. On the left is a black and white portrait where she is wearing her hair in an updo with the tiara. On the left is a color picture with her wearing her hair down and somewhat messy with the tiara perched upright on her head.
