Blaugust 5 - Everquest 2
I'm not really a gamer but I do really like Everquest 2. Yes, the 20 year old MMORPG!
I first became familiar with it back in its heyday because several family members played it. I met someone in one of my college classes who also played and I ended up joining the guild she and her friends had. The whole group was super cozy and chill. They weren't even too upset when their main tank (umm, that would have been me!) stopped off to pick up shinies instead of staying with the group and, you know, tanking. They were fine. We had a healer. And I really liked my shinies.
After we graduated we gradually lost touch. I missed playing with my friends but I ended up really liking playing the game alone. I hated when people approached me in-game. Maybe there was some real life anxiety seeping into my game world! I would get flustered and forget the interaction commands. Nothing like trying to respond and ending up shouting out at the whole server! There were some times I just zoned out in front of someone because I didn't want to deal with it. Man, wish real life was like that! Anyway, I was very happy crafting delicious foods, picking up shinies and decorating my house in Qeynos. I'm not sure why but I eventually left off playing. Probably mainly due to time constraints. But I always remembered it fondly and missed it!
Well, this year I finally logged back in! I usually prefer making Kerra characters (because cats) but for my return to the game I made a Froglok Wizard, Frigyth. In the past I would usually stick to Qeynos for my home city but I decided on Kelethin this time, just for something a little different. Frigyth lives in a cute little acorn and is currently working on her Armor Quest and also on Qho Augren's Gathering Obsession. She has become a Provisioner and is about to hit adventure level 26. She's on the Halls of Fate server and if you happen to run across her ... um, maybe just silently say hi.

When I first started using Zonelets I had Disqus set up as a commenting system but it looked obnoxiously ugly and I ditched it. Some people are happy to not have blog interaction but I'd love to hear from you if you have any thoughts you want to share! You can respond through my guestbook or email. If you found this link on Discord or the 32-Bit Cafe Discourse, you can message me there or leave a message on my Neocities profile page.
